Responsibilities include keeping our three communities across Snow, Fest and ZenSeekers connected on everything awesome travel wise in Alberta & BC.

Seekers Media has turned seekers into finders since 2008. A legacy company of the 2010 Winter Olympics, we have won national and provincial awards for our efforts to connect audiences with Alberta and BC entertainment and tourism experiences.
We are the publishers of three online magazines, SnowSeekers.ca, FestivalSeekers.com and ZenSeekers.com.

What you'll be doing with us
You will be responsible for overseeing our three magazines' social media presence across Facebook, Instagram & YouTube. Through our community engagement strategy, you'll produce and make daily posts while engaging with our contributors, destinations, attractions, and festivals. Your efforts produce measurable growth results, furthering our mission in keeping people from around the world "plugged in" on all things winter, festival and transformative travel in Alberta and BC.
Who you are
Seekers Media's social media manager should be a dynamic thinker who lives by the art of conversation. A lover of life, you enjoy the outdoors and understand the spiritual value it generates.
You love live music and enjoy festival experiences; you never stop learning and you never want to stop helping people connect with the power of the great outdoors.
You've built an online community and have experience with digital publishing. You're a self-starter who can work remotely and has an office space with a quality laptop to make magic happen on your own turf!
You may have even coached businesses on social media strategy and smartphone content generation. We want not only your understanding of social media but also creation of an online experience that is sticky and engaging.
You help us shape the future of our company so more can enjoy the inspiring potentials we promote every day, up to 30 hours per week minimum (with the possibility of additional hours up to 40 hours per week based on special collaborations and your availability).
Includes:
- social media management of nine channels (60% curated content)
- management of your part-time support person (weekends, so you can turn off)
- managing our #SeekersAmbassors network including 30 content producers
- managing a social media ads budget to increase engagement and audience
- working with a team to produce virtual festivals showcasing communities' unique small businesses and tourism operators.
Your qualifications
- minimum two years' experience with social media management with results that grow community
- META media buying experience
- CANVA or an online graphics production experience
- demonstrated passion for Alberta and BC
Benefits
- competitive salary (starting $39,000 to $45,000 based on experience and 30 hours of work per week)
- remote work - you must be based in Alberta or BC (online office via Basecamp)
- flexible work schedule (two weeks paid holidays after first year worked, three weeks paid holidays each year after that)
