#IndigenousCoastBC

#IndigenousCoastBC is a driver for Indigenous tourism growth. Presenting the voices and stories of the Tla-o-qui-aht, Huu-ay-aht, Toquaht and Tla’amin people on Vancouver island opens the door for travelers to participate in new nature, culture and travel experiences in one of the world’s iconic destinations. This has led to new product development and expansion, growing the Indigenous economy of Vancouver Island in a sustainable way that promotes reconciliation.

Best medium-sized community economic development campaign, 2020

Why our campaigns win awards:

"Working with Seekers Media has boosted our visitors by at least double over the past four years while tripling our social media audience! The immense growth of visitors from around the world has been astounding to our Kiixin Tours way out on the West Coast of Vancouver Island. Many of these traveller’s quote reading ZenSeekers stories is what led them here and that our tour was the entire purpose of their trip!"
- Cheryl Eardley, economic development, Kiix̣in Tours / Huu-ay-aht First Nation

"The Town of Vermilion saw 40 new business licenses, mostly retail, activated within the community over the past two years as a result of #TakeItToTheLake momentum. It’s tough out there, and so we take great pride in working with our neighbours, to use a similar tide to raise all our boats."
- Mary Lee Prior, head of Vermilion Economic Development and Tourism
